Trump Accuses Schiff Of Lying About Maryland

Trump Renews Attacks on Adam Schiff

Allegations Resurface

Former President Donald Trump reignited claims that Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) committed mortgage fraud,

accusing him of falsely listing a Maryland home as his primary residence for โ€œbetter mortgage terms.โ€

Schiff, who bought the property in 2009, strongly denies the allegations.

Trumpโ€™s Claims

In a Truth Social post, Trump called Schiff a โ€œscam artist,โ€

alleging that Fannie Maeโ€™s Financial Crimes Division uncovered โ€œa pattern of fraudโ€ in refinancing deals through 2020.

Yet, he offered no direct evidence and later admitted he was โ€œnot sure about the specific details.โ€

Schiffโ€™s Response

Schiff dismissed the accusations as โ€œpolitically motivated and baseless,โ€ linking them to his role in Trumpโ€™s impeachment.

His spokesperson said lenders knew about Schiffโ€™s dual residences and congressional duties.

Ongoing Dispute

The claims stem from a complaint by Republican investigator Christine Bish,

but critics note that constitutional rules only require Schiff to live in California at election time.
