When somebody gives us the news every evening, we become accustomed to seeing their face. We don’t often get to see behind the scenes, but every once in a while, we are given that opportunity.
Harris Faulkner is a Fox News star, known for her presence when she is on the TV screen. When it comes to her personal life, however, she keeps things quiet but that doesn’t stop people from looking at her romance and wondering how it has blossomed so well for 20 years.
Her husband was a former TV journalist who is now a PR executive, Tony Berlin. He worked for a different news station at one time, and they had a bit of a rivalry, but that also sparked the romance that is still growing today.
There was also a time when they went out on a date and had a rather awkward experience, as it involved another woman. Faulkner explained this, saying: “He showed up to a party with a date — even though he’d asked to meet me. That takes some gall!”
As it turns out, it wasn’t really gall but rather, it was his charm that got her attention. After giving him a second opportunity, he took it and didn’t look back. It was only a year later that he would propose to her on the banks of Lake Superior.
They were walking along the lake when he tossed her a box as they were strolling. She said: “He said, ‘Don’t throw that!’ I opened it — and there was the ring.” That was the beginning, and they were married on April 12, 2023, and have been a couple ever since.
Tony Berlin is more than the husband of Faulkner, he is also someone who stands on his own. For 15 years, he worked with CBS, CNN, NBC, and ABC as a TV journalist and eventually founded his own media firm in 2011.
Faulkner once described him as being a ‘really talented live-shot artist.’ He took his abilities and ran with them, founding Berlin Media Relations, which helps brands get in the headlines.
The first time the pair met was in Minneapolis, where he anchored on ABC and she worked for CBS. It was a competition, but it allowed their relationship to grow.
They also have two daughters, Bella (born 2006) and Danika (born 2009).
She once described them as being ‘religiously and racially different’ but went on to call it a beautiful thing. Faulkner is a Christian, and Berlin is Jewish. This blends their traditions at home, and she feels it is the glue that keeps them together.
Berlin has done more than stand by his wife, he has also been there for the entire family. Prior to her father dying in 2020, he recorded interviews with him that were later aired on his Fox Nation series, ‘Footsteps of My Father’.
She said: “You’ll actually hear my dad’s voice telling his war stories — because Tony saved them.”
Berlin gave her a custom Kansas City Chiefs jersey with her name and the number 20 on the back for their 20th anniversary. She said: “I was confused at first — Mahomes is 15! Then he told me, ‘You’re on my team.’”
