Despite facing criticism, Budde defended her remarks in a later interview, stating that her intention was to highlight the humanity of these groups.
In response, Trump denounced her sermon, labeling her a “Radical Left” figure and accusing her of politicizing the church. Budde, known for her progressive activism, has previously supported Obama’s campaign and been linked to various left-leaning causes.
