Charlie Kirk Fatally Shot During Speech
Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday around 12:20 p.m.
A video shows him answering a question before a gunshot rang out, followed by shouts of “Run, run, run!”

Former President Donald Trump confirmed the news on Truth Social:
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead… Charlie, we love you!”
Reactions Pour In
Leaders across the political spectrum responded. Gov.
Gavin Newsom called it “disgusting, vile, and reprehensible,” while VP J.D. Vance wrote, “Say a prayer for Charlie Kirk, a genuinely good guy and a young father.”
Shooter in Custody
According to UVU’s Ellen Treanor, “Shots were fired from a building about 200 yards from the speaker… our campus police has a suspect in custody.” The campus was shut down for the day.
