She Believed The Dog Had.

“I was completely shocked, I didn’t know what to think,” Hayden told WXIN. She immediately rushed Jackson to the vet, where X-rays revealed nearly 70 BB gun wounds. Bullets were lodged in several parts of his body, including his eyelid, ear, and knee. The vet was able to remove 27 bullets, but around 20 remain embedded.

Poli,ce later identified a neighbor as the suspect, discovering a BB gun, pellets, and drug paraphernalia in his home. “I have never seen an animal shot that many times,” said Assistant Chief Craig Hayes of the Seymour Police Department, calling it a “very bad case.”

Despite his serious injuries, Jackson is now recovering. Hayden hopes for justice, believing the suspect should receive a long prison sentence and be prohibited from owning animals.
