Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Sparks Backlash Over Renewed Tylenol-Autism Claims
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is facing heavy criticism after once again suggesting a link between Tylenol and autism
โ despite acknowledging thereโs no scientific proof. During a Cabinet meeting with President Trump, Kennedy said,
โAnybody who takes the stuff during pregnancy unless they have to is irresponsible,โ adding, โWeโre doing the studies to make the proof.โ
Medical experts immediately dismissed the claim, stating thereโs โno evidence of any linkโ between Tylenol use and autism.
Tylenolโs manufacturer โstrongly disagrees,โ while the National Autistic Society called the comments โdangerous, anti-science, and deeply irresponsible.โ
Kennedy also made several bizarre statements, including a mix-up about pregnancy anatomy and a revived,
debunked claim connecting infant circumcision to autism.
Critics, including former President Obama,
warn that such remarks from a public official risk undermining trust in evidence-based medicine.
