In a surprise announcement, Fox News hostย Pete Hegsethย revealed he is donating his
entire $12.9 million in bonuses and sponsorship earningsย to buildย homeless support centersย in his hometown ofย Minneapolis.
โThese streets shaped me,โ he said. โThis is my chance to give back in a way that truly matters.โ
The project will includeย 150 permanent housing unitsย andย 300 shelter beds,
offering not just shelter but alsoย job training, addiction recovery, and mental health services.
Hegseth called it a mission to address โthe roots of homelessness, not just its symptoms.โ
Minnesotaโs harsh winters make the effort especially critical.
Local leaders praised the initiative as a โlife-savingโ step toward ending chronic homelessness.
