Pete Hegseth Donates $12.9 Million to Build Homeless Centers in Minneapolis

In a surprise announcement, Fox News hostย Pete Hegsethย revealed he is donating his

entire $12.9 million in bonuses and sponsorship earningsย to buildย homeless support centersย in his hometown ofย Minneapolis.

โ€œThese streets shaped me,โ€ he said. โ€œThis is my chance to give back in a way that truly matters.โ€

The project will includeย 150 permanent housing unitsย andย 300 shelter beds,

offering not just shelter but alsoย job training, addiction recovery, and mental health services.

Hegseth called it a mission to address โ€œthe roots of homelessness, not just its symptoms.โ€

Minnesotaโ€™s harsh winters make the effort especially critical.

Local leaders praised the initiative as a โ€œlife-savingโ€ step toward ending chronic homelessness.

โ€œMoney means little if it doesnโ€™t serve a higher purpose,โ€

Hegseth said, urging others to use their success for service.

Construction begins this year, with the first units opening soon after.
