A new video has intensified outrage over the fatal shooting of 37-year-old
Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
The footage appears to show Good trying to flee as
an officer fires into her SUV after it “clipped” him.
Federal officials initially defended the agent.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good had
“weaponized her vehicle” in “an act of domestic terrorism.”
However, the video has fueled doubts,
with viewers saying the tires were “fully turned away from the officer,”
suggesting she was leaving, not attacking.
Critics have been outspoken. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called the killing “a public murder,”
while Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said claims of self-defense were “bullsh*t.”
Good’s mother remembered her as “extremely compassionate”
and “one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.”
Good was a mother of three, and the case remains under intense public scrutiny.
