Dem Leader Jeffries Rips Supreme Cou

In an interview on CNN, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries asserted that

the Supreme Court has “enabled” President Donald Trump to act like a king. He described this situation as shameful for the country.

Jeffries warned those associated with the Trump administration that, despite a

five-year statute of limitations, accountability would persist long after the administration ends.

He emphasized that the pursuit of this accountability is beginning now.

The Democratic leader stated that a full reckoning would require an independent Department of Justice and a Democratic-led House of Representatives.

He accused Trump and his allies of damaging the integrity of the Justice Department.

Jeffries placed significant blame on the court’s conservative justices for granting what he characterized as “blanket presidential immunity.”

He argued this contradicts the Constitution’s framers, who explicitly opposed a monarchical system.

According to Jeffries, this judicial backing has effectively permitted Trump to engage in “out-of-control” behavior. He called for this precedent to be revisited and reversed.

His criticism focused solely on the conservative justices, without acknowledging that the court’s liberal justices have also sometimes sided with the administration. The comments highlight the intense political polarization surrounding the Supreme Court’s recent decisions.
