On today’s dose of feel-good stories, a young boy, by the name of Desmond Koolen has stolen the hearts of many internet users after he went viral for his school, St Davids Marist Inanda, essentially hailing him for being an overachiever – something we love to see.

St Davids Marist Inanda is a private secondary boy’s school located in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg, and they often use their social media to shine a light on their learners’ accomplishments, whether concerning academics or extra mural activities.

Desmond Koolen was one of the learners who was honoured by his school after he received 27 medals at the South African Championships of Performing Arts which he participated in last September. According to his school, the Grade 2 learner took home five gold, six silver, and four bronze medals, while racking up four gold, four silver, and four bronze medals in his respective groups.
