In a shocking incident that has already been described as nothing short of a miracle,
a British soldier survived a parachute accident in California after his parachute failed to open during a training exercise.
The soldier, who was part of a group exercise near Camp Roberts, leapt from a plane at an altitude of 15,000 feet.
What should have been a routine military drill turned into a near-death experience when his chute malfunctioned, sending him plummeting toward the ground.
Instead of landing on the designated field, the soldier crashed through the roof of a
residential home in Atascadero, California.
Miraculously, despite the terrifying fall, he was left alive with only moderate injuries. Eyewitnesses and neighbors described the scene as something they would never forget.
