SACRAMENTO, CA โย Federal agents have arrested a man accused of carrying out
a shocking drive-by shooting at ABC 10 in Sacramento, and what investigators discovered in his car has sent shockwaves nationwide.
The suspect, identified asย Anibal Hernandez-Santana, 64, was first taken into
custody by local police on Sept. 19 after allegedly opening fire on the
ABC affiliateโs building. But just hours after he posted $200,000 bail, the FBI re-arrested him onย federal charges.
The Chilling Note
According to the Justice Department, agents found a handwritten note inside Hernandez-Santanaโs vehicle.
The message specifically mentioned top members of former President Donald Trumpโs administration:
Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.
The note reportedly read:ย โFor hiding Epstein & ignoring red flags.
Do not support Patel, Bongino, & AG Pam Bondi. Theyโre next. โ C.K. from above.โ
Anti-Trump Social Media Trail
Investigators also uncovered Hernandez-Santanaโs online presence, which showed aย pattern of anti-Trump commentary.
Just last week, he posted:ย โWhere is a good heart attack when we need it the most??
Please join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.โ
Other posts revealed he was ready to โfight like hellโ against the Trump administration.
His attorney has since claimed his client is being targeted because of his outspoken political views.
Federal Response
Kash Patel confirmed on X that Hernandez-Santana remains in custody under a federal hold,
calling the case a reminder thatย โtargeted acts of violence will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.โ
A City Already On Edge
The shooting took place just one day after protests erupted outside ABC 10, following the suspension
of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. His remarks linking Charlie Kirkโs accused assassin to Trump supporters had already sparked national backlash.
