Yangon/Bangkok – A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Burma (Myanmar) near the Thai border early Saturday, causing widespread panic,
evacuations, and fears of aftershocks or tsunamis.According to the USGS, the quake’s epicenter was about 10 km deep in a mountainous area.
Strong tremors were felt in major cities like Yangon, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok, prompting residents to flee buildings.While the number of casualties
is still unknown, authorities report partial building collapses, power outages, and damaged infrastructure. Emergency teams have been deployed,
