1. Lost and Alone
A young elephant, still learning to walk, wandered away from its herd while chasing a butterfly.
When he looked around, “only the endless savanna stretched out before him.”

Moments later, eight hyenas emerged from the bushes, “their eyes glowed yellow,
their teeth flashed in anticipation of an easy prey.”
The frightened calf trumpeted for help, but the herd was too far away.
3. An Unexpected Hero
Just as the hyenas prepared to strike, “the ground shook under even heavier footsteps.”
A scarred old rhinoceros charged from behind a hill, scattering the predators “like rag dolls.”
4. Saved by Fate
The rhino gently checked on the trembling calf before the mother arrived.
After ensuring they were safe, he quietly vanished into the savanna.
As the herd later said, “sometimes fate sends help exactly when you least expect it.”
