  1. Poor Circulation: Dark circles and puffiness may indicate circulation issues. Pressing gently on the under-eye area and observing the color change can help determine if circulation is a factor.
  2. Food Intolerances: Certain food sensitivities, such as to dairy or preservatives, can cause discoloration under the eyes. If you’re unsure, food intolerances might be worth considering.
  3. Iron Deficiency: While not always directly linked, dark circles paired with symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, and frequent colds could indicate anemia. Low iron levels impair oxygen transport in the blood, leading to under-eye discoloration. A blood test can confirm iron levels.

Although sleep deprivation can worsen the appearance of under-eye bags, there is no definitive evidence linking it to their formation.
