Iran’s chilling “one word only” response to America

What began as another stalled round of nuclear talks has spiraled into a confrontation that

feels terrifyingly final. The coordinated U.S.–Israeli strike on Tehran’s leadership shattered

long‑standing taboos, crossing what Iran calls its ultimate red line. In response,

Tehran has unleashed waves of missiles and drones, promising the “most devastating

offensive operation” in its history, not only against Israel but also against American bases.

The language on all sides has turned absolute: obliteration, war crimes, forces “never seen before.”

Inside the UN, the last fragile veneer of diplomacy is cracking. Iran’s ambassador brands

the strikes a crime against humanity, vows self‑defence under Article 51, and pointedly tells

Washington to “be polite.” The U.S. envoy refuses to back down, denouncing Iran’s regime as

murderous and illegitimate. Between them stands a Secretary‑General warning that

peace is the only way out—while the missiles are already in the air.
