The 14-year-olds became Britain’s youngest parents

Youngest Parents in the UK

In 2010, April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne became the youngest parents in the United Kingdom.

April was 13 when she became pregnant, and Nathan was 14 when their son Jamie was born.

Their story drew widespread attention, bringing both sympathy and criticism.

Early Challenges

The couple met at St. Cenydd School in Caerphilly, South Wales. April discovered she was pregnant

“just one day before her 14th birthday.” Their son Jamie was born in November 2010 by cesarean

section and soon required surgery for a malformed oesophagus.

After 11 days in hospital, he was well enough to return home.

Life Changes

April lived with her parents while raising Jamie, and Nathan planned to help on weekends.

By 2014, April revealed they had separated and were “no longer in contact,”

choosing to focus on raising her son with family support.

Life Today

Now 28, April—known as April Lianna—is the mother of three and shares a stable life with Jake Jones.

Nathan is engaged to Samantha, and both appear to have built

fulfilling lives while remaining part of Jamie’s upbringing.
