Trump claims he’s ‘not a sleeper
Photos of Donald Trump with his eyes closed during a November 6 Oval Office press conference went viral,
leading many to think he was “sleeping” or nodding off.
The moment came shortly before a man fainted at the event,
and similar clips of Trump appearing drowsy had circulated earlier,
including during a ceremony in Saudi Arabia.
On November 18, Trump responded when asked about his schedule while meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Trump said, “He does not sleep much, and I don’t sleep much. I think we have the same schedule.”
He contrasted himself with Joe Biden, claiming Biden was sleeping “all the time.”
Trump insisted, “I’m not a sleeper,” adding that he and the crown prince “talk at night” and during the “craziest times.”
He concluded that when leaders “love your job” and “think about your country,” they “don’t want to sleep.”
