Judge Allows Robinson Civilian Clothing in High-Profile Trial

Fourth District Court Judge Tony Graf ruled that Tyler Robinson, accused of

assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk,

โ€œshall be dressed as one who is presumed innocentโ€ during court appearances.

However, Graf denied his request to appear without restraints, citing security concerns.

Court and Media Restrictions

Graf banned media from photographing Robinsonโ€™s restraints or filming him entering and exiting the courtroom.

He said, โ€œThe case has attracted extraordinary public and media attention,โ€

noting that images of Robinson in jail clothing could โ€œinfluence prospective jurors.โ€

Case Background

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot on September 10 at Utah Valley University.

Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against Robinson, 22, who faces aggravated murder and related charges.

Ongoing Investigation

FBI Director Kash Patel stated, โ€œWe are running out absolutely every single lead.โ€

Robinsonโ€™s next hearing is set for January 16.
