Kimmel Could Face Federal Probe Over

Jimmy Kimmel Faces Possible FCC Review

Jimmy Kimmel may face federal scrutiny after suggesting Charlie Kirk’s accused killer was a MAGA supporter.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said on Benny Johnson’s show he is considering an investigation into Kimmel and ABC.

Prosecutors, however, describe 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as holding leftist views.

Carr blasted Kimmel’s remarks as “some of the sickest conduct possible.”

He added, “We could be called ultimately to be a judge on some of these claims that come up.”

Possible remedies, he suggested, could even include suspending Kimmel.

Kimmel refused to back down, telling executives he would not “kowtow” to political pressure.

ABC leaders and advertisers reportedly grew uneasy, while Sinclair and Nexstar threatened to pull ABC shows.

Carr warned Disney and ABC that such “one-sided political content” could jeopardize their broadcast license.

“They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest,” he said.
