An Impossible Discovery
Building 6 had been empty for months, its entrance sealed and padlocked.
“No reason for a baby to be inside,” I thought. Yet there it was—
a swaddled infant in his photo.
The Familiar Blanket
I zoomed in. The blanket—fleece with stars and clouds—was identical to the one our aunt stitched for her stillborn grandson.
That blanket had been buried with him.
