A Miracle in the Making
Amanda Foster, a 33-year-old mother from Kentucky, believes she witnessed a divine sign during her pregnancy.
In a Facebook post, she shared an ultrasound image of her unborn son Kyler, showing what looks like a large hand cradling his head.
“In one of his pictures it has the appearance of a hand holding his head,” she wrote.
Her daughter Bailey was the first to spot it, asking, “Whose hand is that?”
A History of Heartbreak
Foster’s joy was preceded by deep grief.
At 17, she lost her first son, Xavier, to Potter syndrome—a rare, often fatal condition affecting kidney development. “My thought at that time was, ‘Well, if God is going to take my son, He will take me too!’” she wrote. The loss left her with lasting anger toward God. Doctors later warned her that it was unlikely she’d have a healthy baby boy due to the condition’s higher occurrence in males.
She eventually gave birth to two healthy daughters, and in 2022, welcomed her first son, Jay, who was confirmed “Potter syndrome free.”
