No Beloved Actor Killed While Protecting Woman
Richmond stage actor Adam Turck, 35, was fatally shot Saturday morning while trying to stop a violent argument between a couple in Church Hill. He was walking his dog when he stepped in to help.
Deadly Confrontation
Turck attempted to calm the situation, but the 19-year-old man pulled a gun from his backpack, shot Turck, then shot himself. Turck later died at the hospital. His dog, Lana, was unharmed. The woman survived.
Heroic Legacy
“If Adam hadn’t been there, that woman would not be alive today,” his family said. His final act was organ donation, helping others even in death.
Tributes and Mourning
Friends remembered him as brave and compassionate. “He was Superman… he didn’t walk away—he walked into the fire,” said fellow actor CJ Bergin. Turck was known for his work in local theater and had just been cast in Dracula: A Comedy of Horrors.
