    Man Sent To EL Salvador’s Harshest Prison Under Trump’s Policy Tells His Story

    The appalling conditions of El Salvador’s maximum security jail were recalled by a man who was sent to the “worst prison on Earth.”

    Under President Nayib Bukele’s government, the Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo (CECOT) formally inaugurated in 2023 in an effort to combat gang violence.

    The most dangerous criminals in the nation are housed in this Tecoluca facility, which is regarded as one of the safest in the world and can house 40,000 people.

    The compound is well guarded with 19 towers, and detainees are constantly monitored by a security crew.

    In an effort to remove gang members, including Americans, from the streets, the Trump administration detained 250 Venezuelan males, including Arturo Suarez.

    However, according to his family, the 34-year-old has never been convicted of a crime in the four nations where he has resided.

    In March, immigration officials detained Suarez, an aspiring singer, when he was in North Carolina filming a music video.

    Citing Suarez’s 33 tattoos, authorities claimed he was a member of the Tren de Aragua gang.

    Suarez was released through a prisoner swap with ten U.S. citizens and permanent residents who had been imprisoned in Venezuela after over five months.

    “We were constantly beaten,” he told Sky News. “We suffered physical, verbal, and psychological abuse.”

    “There wasn’t a day the wardens didn’t tell us that the only way we’d leave that place was if we were dead. In fact, the first words the head of the prison said to us after the first beating was ‘welcome to hell’.”

    19 men sleep in one cell

    “We were sleeping 19 people to a cell,” he said, adding that ‘if we spoke loudly, they would take away our mattresses, if they found us bathing more than once a day, they’d take away the mattresses from us’.

    “The punishment was severe. It was beatings and humiliations and they took away our food,” he explained.

    “I remember we were exercising and a cellmate, very politely, asked the prison head if we could bathe a second time that day, since we were doing exercise.”

    “His words were ‘that’s your problem, it’s not my problem if you exercise’. We were also made to eat with our hands.”

    “They tried to take our humanity away from us. They tried to make us lose everything.”

    Suarez’s wife, Nathali, and their 10-month-old baby, Nahiara, reside in Chile, therefore his family in Venezuela is currently providing for him.

    A Historic Lawn Becomes Concrete Patio

    The White House Rose Garden is barely recognizable. New photos taken on July 22 reveal a dramatic transformation: most of the lush lawn has been replaced by concrete. This shift is part of an ongoing renovation led by former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump.

    Trump had long criticized the original design. He claimed the grass was impractical for press events, especially when it came to wet weather and women’s high heels. In a March interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, he explained, “The terrain can be wet… Women, with the high heels, it just didn’t work.”

    A “Restoration” or Reinvention?

    The renovations began in early June. According to a White House official, the Trumps approached the project with “deep respect for the history of the White House and the Rose Garden.” The goal, they said, was to preserve beauty while improving function for events.

    Yet, critics argue that the new concrete slab and patio-style layout stray far from tradition. The original lawn was added in 1961 at President John F. Kennedy’s request and had served as the garden’s centerpiece ever since.

     

     

     

    Melania Trump Faces Backlash Again

    This isn’t Melania’s first controversial redesign. In 2020, she introduced limestone borders and redesigned the flowerbeds. NBC News presidential historian Michael Beschloss described the update as “grim” and accused her of erasing decades of American history.

    Melania’s office responded sharply. “.@BeschlossDC has proven his ignorance,” her team posted on X (formerly Twitter), sharing photos of roses in full bloom. They accused him of sharing misleading information and questioned his credibility as a historian.

    A Mix of Style and Practicality

    Despite the criticism, some updates were practical. The 2020 redesign aimed to improve sunlight and drainage. Only 12 original rose bushes remained before Melania added 200 new ones.

    The current construction is expected to wrap up by mid-August 2025. It’s overseen by the National Park Service and funded by the Trust for the National Mall.

    Gilded Touches Inside the White House

    The garden isn’t the only change making headlines. In April, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump hired cabinetmaker John Icart—his longtime “gold guy”—to glam up the Oval Office. Updates include gilded portrait frames, ornate carvings for the fireplace mantel, and even a gold Trump crest embedded in a doorway.

    Icart previously worked on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property, and the new designs reflect the same lavish aesthetic—one far removed from the simpler tastes of presidents like Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

    When South Park included Donald Trump in an episode where even Satan didn’t want to interact with him, the White House retaliated.

    President Trump appears in the first episode of season 27 of South Park, which was published by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone following their signing of a new deal with Paramount.

    As he strips naked and gets into bed with Satan, who doesn’t want to get down and dirty with the Donald, Trump threatens to sue the town of South Park in the first scene, which aired yesterday night (July 23).

    Trump’s genitalia are also shown as being extremely little in South Park; he fired an artist for making his manhood appear too small, and Satan claimed that it was “so f**king small” in bed that he couldn’t even see it.

    After Trump was slapped by the South Park character, Satan questioned him about the Epstein list and remarked, “It’s strange that you always tell people to calm down when it comes up.”

    Given that their new streaming agreement is valued at $1.5 billion (yes, with a “b”) and that 50 new episodes are anticipated as part of the agreement, that equates to roughly $30 million (£22 million) every new episode.

    The total amount spent on this portrayal of Donald Trump with a small penis that even the devil wouldn’t want to f**k—not to mention Jeffrey Epstein—is approximately $30 million.

    In the episode, a pro-Trump video featuring a deepfake Donald traversing the desert is broadcast after the municipality of South Park agrees to pay Trump $3.5 billion.

    In a statement, the White House said, “The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end — for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”

    “Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

    “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

    Thus, they didn’t appear to enjoy it.

    Survey: Majority Believe Biden Administration ‘Deliberately’ Left Border Open

    A majority believe the Biden administration deliberately left the border open, a recent Harvard-Harris survey revealed.

    The vast majority fundamentally agree that the Biden administration left the southern border open — 67 percent. A majority of both Republicans and independents — 84 percent and 68 percent, respectively — believe the border was effectively open during the Biden administration, although a slight majority of Democrats, 51 percent, believe it was “secure.”

    When asked if they believe the open border was a “deliberate policy or not deliberate,” 69 percent agreed that it was “deliberate.” Only 31 percent believe it was not.

    Once again, a majority of Democrats attempt to give the Biden administration the benefit of the doubt, as 52 percent believe the open border was “not deliberate.” Most Republicans, 88 percent, and 60 percent of independents believe Biden’s open border was a deliberate policy.

    The survey’s results come as the Trump administration sees tremendous success on the southern border. In May and June, for instance, officials reported zero illegal immigrants being released into the U.S. interior.

    “Zero Border crossings for the month for TRUMP, verses 60,000 for Sleepy, Crooked Joe Biden, a man who lost the 2020 Presidential Election by a ‘LANDSLIDE!’” Trump posted last month.

    “Biden was grossly incompetent, and the 2020 election was a total FRAUD! The evidence is MASSIVE and OVERWHELMING. A Special Prosecutor must be appointed. This cannot be allowed to happen again in the United States of America! Let the work begin! What this Crooked man, and his CORRUPT CRONIES, have done to our Country in 4 years, is grossly indescribable! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he exclaimed:

    “Zero illegal alien releases along southwest border for the second consecutive month,” Customs and Border Protection wrote in a press release for the month of June.

    In comparison, the zero parole releases comes in comparison to 27,766 released in June 2024, when Biden was still in office.

    Additionally, Border Patrol announced that it encountered just 6,070 illegal immigrants at the southern border in the month of June — a record-setting low figure. A press release from the White House continues:

    It’s a stark contrast to the Biden Administration, when approximately 10,000 unvetted migrants were illegally crossing the southern border every day at the peak of the invasion — most of whom were released into the country with little or no oversight.

    The Harvard-Harris survey was taken July 6-8, 2025, and has a +/- 2.2 percent margin of error.

    Trump’s Justice Department Sues New York City for Protecting Illegal Aliens with Sanctuary Policies

     

    President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against New York City, New York, Mayor Eric Adams (D) over the city’s sanctuary policies that shield illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement.

    On Thursday, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a lawsuit against Adams and other city officials for their enforcement of sanctuary city policies that DOJ prosecutors say are a violation of the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution.

    “New York City has released thousands of criminals on the streets to commit violent crimes against law-abiding citizens due to sanctuary city policies,” Bondi said. “If New York City won’t stand up for the safety of its citizens, we will.”

    The DOJ’s lawsuit notes events of this week, when two illegal aliens who had been set loose by New York City’s sanctuary policy ended up allegedly shooting a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer in the face and leg during an attempted armed robbery.

    “Just this week, New York City’s sanctuary policies have reaped tragic consequences. On July 20, 2025, two illegal aliens allegedly ambushed an off-duty Customs and Border Protection officer while he sat in Fort Washington Park,” the lawsuit states:

    They allegedly tried to rob the officer, shooting him in the face and the leg in the process. Both aliens entered the United States illegally and were repeatedly arrested for criminal behavior since. In fact, after an April 5, 2024, arrest for fourth-degree felony grand larceny and petit larceny, ICE placed an immigration detainer on one of the aliens. But the New York City Department of Correction ignored the detainer and released him back onto the streets of New York City, leaving him free to continue committing crimes. But for New York City’s sanctuary policies, this tragedy could have been avoided. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem lamented: “How many more lives will it take, how many more people have to be hurt and victimized before we have public safety be a number one priority in some of our largest cities? [Emphasis added]

    The DOJ has filed similar lawsuits against sanctuary jurisdictions like Los Angeles, California; New York State; Colorado; Illinois; and Rochester, New York, and recently got Louisville, Kentucky, to drop its sanctuary policy after a threat of a lawsuit.

    “For too long, New York City has been at the vanguard of interfering with enforcing our immigration laws,” Assistant Attorney General Brett Shumate said in a statement. “Its efforts to thwart federal immigration enforcement end now.”

    Earlier this year, in testimony to the House Judiciary’s Immigration Subcommittee, National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE) President RJ Hauman revealed that from October 2022 through February 2025 some 25,000 criminal illegal aliens were shielded from federal immigration enforcement thanks to sanctuary jurisdictions.

    The lawsuit is United States v. City of New York, No. 1:25-cv-4084 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

    Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that Homeland Security has started flying migrants out of the “Alligator Alcatraz” detention facility.

    “I’m pleased to report that those flights out of Alligator Alcatraz by DHS have begun. The cadence is increasing. We’ve already had a number of flights, in the last few days, we’ve had hundreds of illegals [that] have been removed from here,” DeSantis said Friday while speaking in South Florida.

     

    When asked for the exact number of deportations and where the planes were heading to, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin delivered a one-line statement to Fox News Digital.

    “Fire up the deportation planes,” she said.

    DeSantis authorized the construction of the illegal immigrant detention center on a 30-square-mile property in the Everglades’ swamplands of Miami–Dade County under an emergency order. The property in Ochopee is a former airport that has been outfitted with sturdy tent structures.

     

    The Florida Division of Emergency Management said the site has the capacity for 2,000 detainees but will eventually hold 4,000.

    DeSantis said Friday that “The whole purpose is to make this be a place that can facilitate increased frequency and numbers of deportations of illegal aliens, and that is the goal.”

    “And one of the reasons why this was a sensible spot is because you have this runway that’s right here. You don’t have to drive them an hour to an airport. You go a couple thousand feet and they can be on a plane and out of here,” the governor added.

    Senate Republicans push for special counsel in Obama-Russia election probe

    U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) on Thursday urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to appoint a special counsel to investigate whether former President Barack Obama and his administration attempted to sway the outcome of the 2016 presidential election in favor of Hillary Clinton.

    In a post on X, Graham wrote, “For the good of the country, Senator @JohnCornyn and I urge Attorney General Bondi to appoint a special counsel to investigate the extent to which former President Obama, his staff and administration officials manipulated the U.S. national security apparatus for a political outcome.”

    Their demand follows the release of a newly declassified document by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which questions earlier assessments that Russian President Vladimir Putin sought to help Donald Trump win.

    While the document affirms that Russia interfered in the election, it casts doubt on the narrative that Putin favored Trump specifically.

    Obama’s office issued a rare response, saying on Tuesday, “These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”

    A contracted employee of the state’s Department of Human Resources left a three-year-old kid in a hot automobile for hours before he d**d.

    On Tuesday, June 22, Bessemer resident Ke’Torrius “KJ” Starkes Jr. was discovered unconscious inside a car parked outside a residence on Pine Tree Drive in Birmingham.

    KJ was in the automobile from around 12:3 PM to 5:30 PM, Birmingham police said, according to PEOPLE.

    According to lawyer Courtney French, he was declared dead at 6:03 PM after local temperatures hit 96 degrees with a heat index that may have caused the car’s inside to reach 150 degrees.

    French, who works for the boy’s family, claimed that because of claims of dr*g usage in the home, the youngster was temporarily placed in DHR’s custody.

    That morning, KJ was taken from nursery to go to a DHR office in Bessemer for a monitored visit with his father. The employee, who works for Covenant Services Inc., is accused of running personal errands after the visit while the child was still buckled up in his car seat.

    French informed the newspaper that stops included going to a smoke shop and getting meals. Then the worker left KJ in the car and went home.

    “This is a heartbreaking and preventable tragedy,” French said. “The safety net that should have been in place to protect KJ and others like him is what caused his d**th. So the very system that is in place for his protection was the system that led to his d**th – and that’s what’s so tragic about this.”

    Brittney Debruce, KJ’s aunt, informed AL.com that KJ was absent when the foster parent went to pick him up from nursery. The youngster was later found inside the car by her and the Birmingham police.

    In a brief statement, DHR confirmed that at the time of the event, the youngster was being carried by a contract provider.

    “The provider has terminated their employee,” the agency noted, adding, “Due to confidentiality, DHR cannot comment further regarding the identity of the child or the exact circumstances.”

    The driver, who has not been named publicly, has been helpful, according to Birmingham police, and was taken to police headquarters to be questioned. The inquiry is still underway, but no charges have been brought yet.

    In a statement shared through French, KJ’s parents said, “This is a parent’s worst nightmare. Our baby should be alive,” cited by The Independent.

    The child’s body has been released to his family following the completion of an autopsy, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

    His cause of death has not yet been officially determined. The funeral service for KJ is set for Saturday, August 2.
