Dr. Hilary Jones, a well-known TV doctor, shared tips for maintaining heart health and warned
about habits that could increase the risk of heart attacks.

Dr Hilary Jones, the NHS GP famed for his appearances on ITV’s Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, has divulged some vital tips for maintaining heart health, including a stark warning about a common habit that ‘doubles the risk’ of a heart attack.

In a video posted on Healthspan’s Instagram page, the 71 year old doctor is seen brandishing a model heart, telling his audience: “Take a look at this, this is exactly what your heart looks like.” He continued, emphasizing the importance of heart care: “I think you’ll agree, considering what it does for you, that it’s worth looking after.”

The seasoned physician highlighted the dangers of being overweight, advising:

“Don’t strain it [your heart] by carrying too much weight, exercise it regularly – it’s a muscle – it loves a bit of exercise.” He also cautioned against allowing cholesterol to ‘clog up your heart’.

In his message about a widespread habit, Dr Hilary warned: “Don’t smoke, your heart hates that,”and then queried his viewers: “What do you do to look after your heart? “, reports Surrey Live.

The NHS underscores that smoking significantly increases the likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases, which encompass coronary heart disease and stroke.

It further notes that smokers are almost twice as likely to experience a heart attack in comparison to non-smokers.

Breastfeeding is a natural and beautiful process that helps create intimacy and bonding between the mom and her bundle of joy.

Feeding babies whenever and wherever they are hungry is something mom’s shouldn’t feel bad about, but sadly, there are people out there who give them a hard time as they believe feeding babies in public is not appropriate or acceptable if they don’t use a cover.

Back in 2018, Melanie Dudley, a mom of a 3-month-old baby, was at

a restaurant with her family and some friends when the little one

started crying for food. Without hesitation, Melanie, who is from Texas,

started breastfeeding her son. And although everyone was fine with that,

it looked like a stranger who was sitting on the next table was

uncomfortable with this mom not being covered while breastfeeding.

He approached Melanie and asked her to cover up. And well, she did just that,

but in a manner that stranger expected.

”I was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with my entire family, and a man asked

me to cover myself. I’m usually discreet but we were seated in the back of the restaurant,” Melanie told Yahoo.

“I did have the cover on, but it was so hot. It was like, 95 degrees, and my little baby was sweating,” the Texan told TODAY.

“I said, ‘You know what? I’m on vacation, I’m taking this off.’”

Melanie took the cover and put it on her head instead, having the entire restaurant bursting out in laughter.

”I just put it over my head. I don’t know why. It wasn’t like a salacious

fight or anything. That was just my response. I had no words,

so I thought, I’ll just cover my head instead,” the woman explained.

A woman who witnessed the entire thing, Carol Lockwood, took a photo of

Melanie and shared it online with the caption, “I’ve never met her,

but I think she’s AWESOME!!! (Please share! With permission, I’ve

made this post public — I’m SO over people shaming women for nursing!!!”

In no time, the photo was shared 225,000 times and counting.

A great number of people stood my Melanie’s side and supported what she did.

  • A Letter From the Grandson

    A Letter From the Grandson

Margaret sat by the window, staring at the snow-covered street outside. The world around her had moved on, but a part of her remained frozen in the past. It had been 13 years since she last saw her daughter, Anna. The memory of their final argument was as vivid as if it had happened yesterday. Hurtful words had been exchanged, and Anna had stormed out, vowing never to return. Margaret had hoped time would heal the rift, but as the years passed, silence filled the space where their relationship once thrived.

Yesterday, as Margaret sorted through the day’s mail, her hands trembled when she found an unfamiliar envelope addressed to her. The handwriting was neat but youthful, and the sender’s name made her heart skip a beat: Ethan. She didn’t know an Ethan, but the return address hinted at a connection. With shaky hands, she opened the letter and began to read.

    “Dear Grandma,

My name is Ethan, and I’m your grandson. Mom told me about you, and I’ve always wanted to meet you. I’m 12 years old now, and I thought it was time to reach out. I don’t know why you and Mom stopped talking, but I think families should be together. I hope you feel the same. Please write back if you want to meet me.

    Love, Ethan”

Margaret’s hands shook as she finished the letter. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring the words on the page. She had a grandson—a 12-year-old boy who had taken the initiative to mend what was broken. Her heart swelled with a mix of emotions: joy, guilt, and a renewed sense of hope.

Memories of Anna as a child flooded Margaret’s mind. She remembered the way Anna used to laugh, her curious questions, and her fierce determination. That same determination now lived in Ethan, a boy she had never met but already felt connected to. Margaret’s heart ached as she wondered what kind of life her daughter had built without her and what role Ethan’s father played in their story.

The letter spurred Margaret into action. She rummaged through old boxes until she found a stack of stationery she hadn’t used in years. Sitting at her kitchen table, she poured her thoughts onto paper.

    “Dear Ethan,

Thank you for your letter. It means more to me than I can put into words. I’ve missed your mom every day since she left, and knowing I have a grandson fills my heart with joy. I’d love to meet you and hear all about your life. Please tell your mom I’m sorry for everything that happened. I hope we can find a way to be a family again.

    Love, Grandma Margaret”

Margaret mailed the letter the next morning, her heart lighter than it had been in years. Over the next few weeks, she checked the mailbox with eager anticipation. One day, a second letter arrived. This time, it was from Anna.

    “Dear Mom,

Ethan told me he wrote to you. At first, I was angry, but I realized he was right. Too much time has passed, and I’ve missed you. Life hasn’t been easy, but Ethan has been my anchor. He’s a wonderful boy, and I’d love for you to meet him. Let’s take it one step at a time.

    Love, Anna”

Tears streamed down Margaret’s face as she read Anna’s words. The door she thought was permanently closed had cracked open, and she was determined to walk through it. A few weeks later, Margaret met Ethan and Anna at a park near her home. Seeing her daughter after so many years was overwhelming, but the moment Ethan ran into her arms, all her doubts melted away.

The reunion was not without its challenges. Painful memories lingered, and trust had to be rebuilt. But Margaret was patient, and so was Anna. Together, they worked to heal their fractured relationship. Ethan became the glue that held them together, a beacon of hope and love.

In the months that followed, Margaret became an integral part of Ethan’s life. She attended his soccer games, helped with school projects, and shared stories about Anna’s childhood. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, and Margaret found joy she thought she had lost forever.

The letter from Ethan was more than just words on a page; it was the beginning of a new chapter for Margaret, Anna, and Ethan. It reminded them all that it’s never too late to mend broken ties and that love has the power to bridge even the widest gaps.

  • When Two Women..

    When Two Women..

I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act.

But instead, I found him all by himself in the den watching TV.

    1st woman: So, what happened?

2nd woman: I was so sure there was another woman, there somewhere that I started running all over the house looking.

I ran up into the attic and searched, and down into the basement.

Then I went through every closet and checked under all the beds.

I kept this up until I had looked everywhere, and finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died.

1st woman: Too bad you didn’t look in the freezer… we’d both still be alive.

  • Garlic: A Surprising Ingredient for Making

Garlic: A Surprising Ingredient for Making

When you think of garlic, your mind probably goes straight to its rich aroma in cooking or its well-known health benefits. But did you know that garlic could also play a surprising role in oral health, including potentially helping to whiten your teeth? While it might sound unconventional, garlic contains unique properties that could make it an unexpected ally in achieving a brighter smile.

    How Garlic Benefits Oral Health

    Antibacterial Power

Garlic is rich in allicin, a natural compound with strong antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.

These properties can help combat oral bacteria, reducing plaque buildup and preventing stains caused by bacterial growth.

    Fighting Gum Disease

Healthy gums are essential for a bright smile. Garlic’s anti-inflammatory effects may reduce swelling and inflammation in the gums, promoting overall oral health and indirectly contributing to the appearance of whiter teeth.

    Stain Prevention

Regular use of garlic-based rinses or remedies can help prevent surface staining by keeping your teeth free of harmful bacteria and debris that contribute to discoloration.
